Hello SB Tribe,

It’s that time of year when the days are longer and the sun is shining well into the evening.  I hope all of you are enjoying the sweetness of spring.  This weekend is supposedly the biggest full moon of the year.  This Super Moon is where the moon is closer to the earth than usual and has a stronger effect on all of us.  Therefore, this weekend is a potent time which many of us may already be feeling.  It’s a good time to move all that moon energy that we are experiencing in our bodies, whether it be on the dance floor or under the moon light.

This weekend we’ve got a double DJ Bud experience.  Bud will be DJ-ing both Friday night and Sunday morning. And this Sunday is the First Sunday of the month, so we’ll have Contact Improv class from 10:15-11a.  Andrea will be teaching this month’s class again.  She’s a great teacher and is well steeped in Contact Improv.  She’s also coordinating with folks to get a regular Contact Jam going on Wednesdays.  If you are interested in more Contact Improv time, tune into this facebook link for details:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/235381363172606/

We are continuing to morph Dance Tribe in one way or another to keep building the energy in an uprising way.  We started Friday Night Tribe as more of a Jam and have allowed it to be more of an evening social experience.  We are getting the sense that Friday Night Tribe is calling for more of the vibe of Sundays……….. a sacred dance journey.  So, we’ll be making some adjustments over the coming weeks.  Also, we are looking for a couple more people for both the altar position and the front table position.  Let me know if you are interested!

We have so much going on at Dance Tribe.

To start it off, Christmas day and New Years day both fell on a Sunday. We had 60 people celebrate and dance with us on Christmas morning.
We are excited about bringing in the first day of 2012 dancing together.

Lamara will start it of with her regular First Sunday of the Month Contact Dance Class. It starts at 10:15 45 minutes before Dance Tribe. Then we have 2 hours of ecstatic dance together.

Another important event is Friday Night Tribe starting January 20th. We are really excited! We have wanted to Dance on Fridays for a long time, and now it is happening. So if you cannot make Sunday mornings, please joins us on Friday nights.

We also have a new graphic look and new web design featuring the artist Amanda Sage. (amandasage.com)

We are growing and thriving… we have really become a dance tribe.
